49ers WR Bruce may retire after this season

The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Isaac Bruce said he was "75 percent" sure that he will retire after this Sunday’s season-ending game against the St. Louis Rams, a team he used to play for from 1994 to 2007.

The career he may end in New Year is worth remembering. Bruce has the second-most reception yards (15,208) in NFL history and holds the fifth spot on the list of most receptions in NFL history with 1,024. So it seems to be a good time to take off NFL jersey once and for all.

At age of 37, Bruce just has even more reasons to leave the league. He was replaced by Josh Morgan halfway through this season and wasn't even in uniform for six of the last seven games. And seemingly Coach Mike Singletary will have the four-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champion play the season finale simply to give him a chance to end career on field, a perfect ending to a professional football player.
