According to the latest reports, free agent defensive end Dwan Edwards will not wear back his No.93 Baltimore Ravens jersey for the 2010 season and even the following three seasons, instead, he is going to put on the Buffalo Bills jersey once a four-year contract is signed.
The six-year veteran was drafted by the Ravens as a second-round pick in 2004 and has spent all of his first five seasons with the Ravens. Missing the entire 2008 season with a neck injury, Edwards returned to the team last year to register 56 tackles and two sacks in 18 games, including playoffs.
As free agency began on March 5, Edwards did not receiver tender offer from the Ravens and had to join other free agents on the market to find new chance in a new team. he visited the Bills headquarters Tuesday, and reports said that the two sides have agreed on a four-year deal potentially worth close to $18 million.

Bills RT Butler retired after four NFL seasons
At the age 26 and just finishing four NFL seasons, the Buffalo Bills right tackle Brad Butler decided to say goodbye to the football career. As a major in government studies at Virginia, the young man thinks his life should be spent in other area.
“My passion for education, country and community is something that I am ready to devote my full attention to,” he said in a statement released by the team on Thursday. “I believe the best way to pursue these spheres of interest is to step away from the game of football at this point in my life.”
Butler’s NFL career began in 2006 when he was drafted by the Bills in the fifth round. Wearing the No. 60 Bills jersey, Butler started all but two of the 33 games he played for the team, with only two games being played in 2009 as he sustained a serious knee injury in Week 2 while playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

TE Klopfenstein rejoined Bills two weeks after being released
The 4-8 Buffalo Bills took action to improve the defense by re-signing tight end Joe Klopfenstein and releasing defensive tackle Corey Mace on Monday, and they are not much more confident to prepare for this Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his fourth year of wearing pro NFL jersey, Klopfenstein signed with the Bills originally on Nov. 18. But the following weekend he was listed as inactive for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was released after the game. By signing the defensive end back, the Bills now have three healthy tight ends to play against the Chiefs this weekend.
As for Mace, he has totally only appeared in two games for the Bills for this season. The last one was the game against the Miami Dolphins two weeks ago, and he contributed only an interception to the Bills’ 31-14 victory.

Bills RT Butler will miss preseason opener for hurt back
Bills right tackle Brad Butler was scheduled to start Buffalo’s preseason opener in the Hall of Fame game against Tennessee on Sunday, but now a hurt back will likely to prevent him from playing in the games.
Coach Dick Jauron said on Thursday night that Butler will unlikely play after missing the past three days of training camp since his back was hurt on Monday. Without Butler, the debut of the Bills’ retooled offensive line will be postponed.
The Bills now have Derrick Jones on the spot of defensive tackle, who was released by the Titans last week and rejoined the Bills, who cut him during training camp last summer. Before signing Jones, the Bills placed defensive lineman David Lindquist on the waived/left squad list.

Three-game suspension to Bills RB Lynch will stand
NFL announced on Monday that Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch’s appeal was denied and the three-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy will stand.
Lynch’s suspension begins on Sept. 5 and ends on Sept. 28. That means he will not be able to take part in the Bills third regular-season game against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 27. Bills head coach Dick Jauron felt disapointed with the suspension because Lynch is a "real good football player" who rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of his two seasons with the Bills. But Jauron also hopes Lynch will learn from the suspension.
Lynch was suspended because of an arrest in Culver City, Calif., on Feb. 11 when police found an unliscenced handgun in the car Lynch was in. He was sentenced to 80 hours of community service and three years probation. However, Lynch will still be allowed to wear nfl jerseys and participate in all preseason practices and games before Sept. 5.
