The Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is hoping that he could take full part in the team’s offseason program, with the shoulder and knee injuries both being cleared. It seems likely as he has said that he is recovering well.
"Hopefully we’ll hit big again on the draft this year and get some guys that can really step in and play for us early," Stafford said on the team’s website. "I’m excited that we have the same head coach and both coordinators. It (will give) us a chance to grow in the system and hopefully we’ll play some better ball."
Stafford will be in Allen Park this week to check in with the team doctors and believes he will get good feedback. Hopefully his second season will be better than the rookie one that was hampered by the injuries. We can have a good guess on how long the quarterback in No. 9 Lions jersey will keep his starting job.
